MOG x Hakka Cultural Society Enhance Vision for 180 Students

CSR Initiatives at SJKC Jinjang Tengah 1 and 2 Improve Eye Health for B40 Families

10th June 2024 – MOG, in collaboration with the Hakka Cultural Society KL/Selangor, is proud to announce the success of our recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at improving eye health for students from B40 families. Over two significant events held at SJKC Jinjang Tengah 1 on May 24, 2024, and SJKC Jinjang Tengah 2 on June 10, 2024, we provided comprehensive eye screenings for nearly 180 students, addressing vision challenges that affect their academic performance and daily lives.

Our first event at SJKC Jinjang Tengah 1 saw a remarkable turnout, where we offered thorough eye examinations to students in need. Encouraged by the positive impact and the heartfelt responses from the community, we extended our efforts to SJKC Jinjang Tengah 2, ensuring even more young minds could benefit from our eye care services.

“At MOG, our mission is to help the world see better. By partnering with the Hakka Cultural Society KL/Selangor, we can reach out to those in need and make a tangible difference in their lives,” said Cammi Ng, Head of Brand & Digital Development at MOG. “Through these screenings, we aim to provide clarity and hope to these students, helping them overcome visual impairments that hinder their educational journey.”

The screenings identified several cases requiring further treatment, and MOG is committed to supporting these students with the necessary follow-up care. This initiative underscores our ongoing dedication to eye health and our community.

The collaboration with the Hakka Cultural Society KL/Selangor has been instrumental in the success of these events. Their support and dedication have allowed us to extend our reach and impact more students, ensuring they receive the eye care they deserve.

Highlights of the CSR Events:

  • Nearly 180 students screened across two schools.
  • Comprehensive eye examinations addressing various vision issues.
  • Identification and support for students needing further treatment.

We believe that clear vision is fundamental to a child’s educational and personal development, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to support this cause.
