MOG & EssilorLuxottica Malaysia Conclude Nationwide Myopia Project with Grand Finale at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil During Zootopia 2 Movie Premiere 2025
Kuala Lumpur, 30th November 2025 — MOG, in partnership with EssilorLuxottica Malaysia, proudly concluded its nationwide Myopia Project with a vibrant and engaging Grand Finale held in conjunction with the Zootopia 2 Movie Premiere at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil. This milestone event marked the culmination of months of educational, awareness, and community-driven initiatives aimed at empowering Malaysian families with essential knowledge on childhood myopia.
The Myopia Project began with an inspiring storytelling competition across selected international schools, where children creatively expressed their understanding of eye care and healthy sight habits through imaginative narratives. Their stories brought the message of myopia awareness to life, and outstanding participants including competition winners were rewarded with exclusive invitations to the finale movie premiere in recognition of their meaningful contributions.
Leading up to the finale, MOG also rolled out a series of Ray-Ban x Zootopia 2 trunk shows across selected outlets. These activations provided families with early access to the Ray-Ban x Zootopia 2 eyewear collection, paired with themed engagements designed to reinforce the importance of eye health. The Grand Finale at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil brought all these efforts together in a joyful, educational, and fully immersive experience. Families were welcomed into the Mini Little Optom zone, where children explored basic vision concepts and learned the importance of regular eye checks. A dedicated kids’ activity area offered colouring and origami sessions featuring MOGGY-themed tasks that stimulated creativity while subtly promoting eye-health awareness. Light-hearted mini games such as Eye on Wire, How Many MOGGY Are There?, and Look for the Real MOGGY kept children engaged in fun activities built around visual focus and observation. The appearance of the beloved MOGGY mascot added excitement and created heartwarming moments for attending families.
The finale was further elevated by the presence of MOG Brand Ambassador Ms. Mei Yan, who attended the premiere with her children. Their participation added warmth and authenticity, reinforcing the importance of prioritising children’s eye health among modern families.
Before the movie screening, guests were invited to an insightful panel session featuring a diverse lineup of experts and community voices, including ophthalmologists from VISTA Eye Specialist (Dr. Jimmy Lim and Dr. Vienne Tai), parent influencers (Ms. Sazzy Falak and Ms. Mei Yan), MOG’s optometrists, EssilorLuxottica Malaysia representatives (Ms. Guroshana and Mr. Pieng Seong), and leaders from parent communities—The Nurts’s founder, Ms. Rachel Tan, and GogoKids’s Co-Founder, Ms. Yan Chun. The panel sparked meaningful conversations on the rising prevalence of myopia, the impact of lifestyle habits, the importance of early intervention, and the role of advanced lens technologies in controlling myopia progression. Families walked away with practical insights and a deeper understanding of how collaborative efforts can safeguard children’s visual health.
